 he Caring Council.\n\nCombined with the Caring Council and the Fair Banking
  Coalition\, this meeting serves as an opportunity for us to consolidate ou
 r efforts to fight against poverty and injustice. \n\nThe Caring Council is
  focusing in on food stamps. Only 31% of people eligible for food stamps ge
 t them in San Diego County because of a system that discourages them from g
 etting them.\n\nPeople are searched. \n\nCounty officials make the process 
 very hard with a cumbersome application process. \n\nThe home visits are un
 announced.\n\nChildren are going hungry as a result.\n\nSan Diego rates las
 t place in the nation for eligible families getting foodstamps!\n\nMost of 
 our meetings will be televised on Internet TV on the Citizens Internet TV N
 etwork at http://www.helloworld.com/caringcouncilnetwork.\n\nWe will also h
 ave meetings on the 3rd Sunday of each month at Joyce Beers Community Cente
