Each organization will be given a table (no cost) and allowed to pass out flyers and make announcements about upcoming events at the summit!

We are formulating economic boycott strategy. Please see www.democratz.org and www.opensecrets.org so you can discuss strategy.

We are working hard to combat poverty, stand up for justice, promote peace, human and civil rights, reform prison and drug laws.

A grand opportunity exists for us as leaders in the progressive community!

911Truth.org has offered to sponsor a Mega Progressive Coalition building summit at the Joyce Beers Center on Vermont Street in San Diego the third Sunday of each month at 6PM.

This meeting will be co-sponsored by the San Diego County Community Coalition.

This month we will have a Special Presentation by Law Enforcement Against Prohibition www.leap.cc

We will be showing Part two of the movie American Drug War: The last White Hope by Kevin Booth
Prison and Drug Policy Reform presentations by A New PATH, Drug Policy Alliance Network, All Of Us Or None and Bay Recovery Center.

It is in our own very best interests that we join together and synergize our efforts.

The elections coming up are very important to us in terms of peace, human rights, economics, supreme court nominations......the list goes on an on.

We must develop alternative and sophisticated methods of communication to assuage the disadvantage the mainstream media holds over us:

Active Blogs
Internet Television
Video Teleconferencing
Linked Websites
Email Chains
Meet Up Consolidation
Support of Friendly Meeting Locations
Dirty tricks lay ahead of us.....and you know it, involving:
Election Integrity
False Messages (which require lightning fast responses)
False Mailings
Voter Intimidation
Debates
Funding
Redistricting Maneuvers
Prison and Drug Policy Reform
Impeachment Proceedings

Please join us at 6 PM on the thrid Sunday of each month so we can plan, join and move ahead!

I recommend we link all of our sites together, attend each others meetings and coordinate our efforts.

Please use them and schedule your meetings with them.

It is my honor and pleasure to work with so many intelligent, caring and committted people.

People like you, committed to peace, justice, common welfare and the prosperity of our community.

By combining our efforts, our forces, we will create an unstoppable force that will prove my point that we live in an apathetic county, not a RED one.

We can rejuvenate hope and WIN in our efforts to take power back from the corporate entities and put it back into the hands of people!

With Deepest Respect,

Walter Davis

    •  We screened "the Last White Hope". Appropriate Film for April 20th, about the drug war and its associated problems of social injustice, government corruption, the prison industry, alcohol and tobacco hypocrisy, pharmaceutical companies and medical addiction. Its central point, that the WAR ON DRUGS is actually another profit center for big business and government waist, without aiming resources at solving the true underlying problems of ignorance, addiction and hopelessness, seemed to resonate with the crowd. Although I agree that PROHIBITION never works, and that de-criminalization and regulation of the drug problem is ultimately going to be the key to limiting the harm to society, I wish that the film had addressed the underlying stupidity of taking poisonous mind-altering substances, and not just the foolishness of paying for them. Instead it seemed to glamorize the money and power various groups gain from drug trade and idolize those caught up in it.
